Nyandarua faces leadership crisis

A leadership crisis is looming in Nyandarua County after the county Attorney George Kimani resigned over alleged massive irregularities in the government.

Kimani’s resignation is just but a tip of the iceberg as details emerge that more senior officials from Nyandarua south have threatened to tender their resignations over the manner in which Governor Daniel Waithaka is running his government.

First to tender his resignation was the Attorney George Kimani. The lawyer who is also in charge of ICT and Inter-Governmental Relations questioned some contracts that were awarded without the right procedure being followed.

Kimani said one of the projects awarded without the approval of the cabinet is the multi-million water project.

The disgruntled leaders claim that they have been side-lined by the Governor.
