Nyeri Businessman Murdered in Morning Attack

John Mwangi, 45, was reportedly killed by armed thugs at 11pm. According to neighbours, gunshots and screams were heard coming from the deceased’s home.

Nyeri County Police Commander Charles Rotich has urged residents to provide relevant information to police to assist in arresting those behind the murder.

The body has been taken to the Nyeri Provincial Hospital Mortuary awaiting post-mortem.

Meanwhile, Police in Nairobi are investigating the murder of a city businessman who was shot dead early Thursday morning at 2am.

The man was driving home with a female companion on Forest Road in Parklands when they were ambushed and the man was shot 15 times.

The woman too suffered a gun shot wound to the head and she has not been able to speak to police officers.

Police have confirmed that nothing was stolen from the couple.

The motive of the killing is yet to be established.
