Nyeri Women Rep blames Jubilee for low voter registration
Nyeri County Women Representative, Priscilla Nyokabi, has attributed the low voter registration in the County to undelivered promises by Jubilee government.
The Women Rep pointed out at some key development projects in the county that are lying incomplete and have remained so for quite some time, having been initiated during the era of former President Mwai Kibaki.
Nyokabi singled out Karatina Market that has been under construction since 2011 and Othaya Level Four Hospital, whose construction remains incomplete for almost the same period.
Nyokabi, however, said that such consideration by eligible voters will greatly affect current and future development initiatives if they will not get votes to participate in the process of electing leaders of their choice.
She defended Jubilee government saying that though there are such concerns, the construction work of the projects is still ongoing and that there should be no cause of worry.
She said development projects by government have always been a process and not an event as someone would be made to think.
