Nzoia Sugar Company boss charged with funds misuse
Nzoia Sugar Company Managing Director, Godfrey Sifuna, the company’s Chief Cashier, John Wanyonyi, and five other officials were on Friday, January 20 charged in court with embezzlement of 11.2 million shillings belonging to the parastatal.
The seven Nzoia Sugar officials denied the charges before Bungoma Magistrate, Robert Mogute, and were each released on a cash bail of 1 million shillings or a bond of 3 million shillings each.
The seven are accused of committing the crime between June 2014 and March 2015.
The case will be heard on the 5th of next month.
