Obado being grilled at police HQ over Sharon Otieno murder

Migori Governor Obado is currently being interrogated at the DCI Headquarters in Nairobi over the murder of Rongo University student Sharon Otieno.

The move comes days after Obado admitted to being the father of the baby that Sharon was carrying at the time of her death.

He however stated that he had nothing to do with the murder.

A pathology report revealed that Sharon was raped and stabbed eight times during the attack. Her unborn baby also had stab wounds.

The foetus was laid to rest a week ago even as the family maintains that they will not bury Sharon’s body until her killers are brought to book.

Sharon’s body was found dumped near River Owade in Obisa village in the outskirt of Oyugis Town.

The Governor’s personal assistant Michael Juma Oyamo and former Kanyadoto MCA Lawrence Mula are still in police custody as investigations continue.
