Oburu Turned Away From CID Headquarters

Oburu was not allowed to record the statement at the CID headquarters but instead was referred to do so in Bondo, Siaya County.

Oburu did not however take the matter lightly arguing that security matters had not been devolved to warrant him to record it in Bondo.

Oburu said that he had the right to record the statement at any particular station.

Oburu was accompanied by his lawyers, Harun Ndumbi and Anthony Oluoch and several other ODM legislators.

Oburu, the elder brother to Raila Odinga, claimed last week that senior people in the East African Community were behind the plot to assassinate his brother and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

“I am reliably informed that a president of a neighbouring country alleges the many problems Kenya currently faces are caused by Raila Odinga,” he said in an address to the press in Bondo last week.

The State House has however dismissed the claims as “nonsense”.
