ODM mourns Kericho Branch Chairman

The Orange Democratic Party (ODM) is in mourning the death of the party’s Kipkelion East, Kericho County branch Chairman.

William Koech, nicknamed “Bwana Chungwa” in the region died in a road accident on Tuesday.

In a statement released by the party’s Executive Director, Oduor Ong’wen, ODM mourned Mr. Koeach as a “a dedicated member of the ODM party who worked tirelessly to strengthen, sell the policies and agenda of the party in Kipkelion East and extended the same to the larger Kericho County.”

The party also lauded his loyalty as he stuck with the party during the mass exodus that saw many ODM members defect to other political parties.

“On behalf of the party Leader the Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga, the National Executive Council, the National Secretariat and the entire ODM family, I wish to convey our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and relatives of the late Koech and pray to God to give them strength during this trying moment. May his Soul RIP,” further added the statement.

Funeral arrangements are yet to be communicated.
