Jubilee party launch plan to cover graft – ODM MPS

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) members have played down the planned launch of Jubilee party scheduled for September 9th and 10th 2016.

The MPs, led by Homa Bay Women representative Gladys Wanga, said that the launch will be deceptive and a plot for the government to save face following a host of corruption scandal that has bedeviled the President Uhuru Kenyatta-led administration.

“When Kenyans talk about Jubilee they think of corruption scandals like Eurobond, National Youth Service saga among others,” he said.

“Jubilee should know that its time is up. CORD is ready to take over government in 2017 and emancipate the country from corruption scandals that Kenyans have been taken through in the past four years,” she said.

Wanga termed the planned delegates’ conference set for Kasarani as a fallacy saying Jubilee is non-existent.

She further noted: “We all know that Jubilee does not have real delegates because it has never held nominations. The people who will be attending the conference in Kasarani are fake delegates ferried from villages.”

The conference, which will also double up as the party’s official launch, will attract 10,000 delegates from across the country which a budget of Ksh 300 million set aside for the same.

Speaking at the same function, Ugunja MP Opiyo Wandayi said that ODM has put in place strategies to ensure they win the next elections.

He noted that ODM will seek to address issues of land injustices that have affected the people of coast region for decades.
