ODM Nomination For Homa Bay Senatorial By-Election Aborts

ODM nominations for the party’s flag bearer in the Homa Bay senate contest aborted after hooligans wrecked havoc and destroyed ballot boxes. In a scene reminiscent to the party’s national polls at Kasarani gymnasium early this year, ODM Homa Bay delegates were forced to scamper for safety, after a man, alleged to be a bodyguard to one of the aspirants shot in the air. But as Francis Gachuri reports, the party is now appealing to the electoral body-IEBC to extend the period of nominating candidates for the February 2nd contest.
