ODM wants Jubilee to implement TJRC report

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) brigade in Kilifi County tore into their Jubilee counterparts for allegedly misleading Kenyans and called for the immediate implementation of the Truth, Justice and Reconciliation Commission (TJRC) report.

Led by Kilifi Senator, Steward Mazdayo, the legislators who pitched tent in Gideon Mung’aro’s backyard of Dabaso ward in Kilifi North Sub County said that they will make sure that land injustices in the Kilifi County are dealt with once and for all.

They challenged Jubilee point man at the Coast, Mr. Mung’aro, to tell the people of Dabaso what they had benefited by defecting to the ruling coalition and urged them to resign and seek fresh mandate under their new outfit.

Madzayo asked the electorate to be keen on empty promises from President Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration adding that they were meant to hoodwink them.

He wondered why a governor elected on an ODM ticket and who receives County funds as per the constitution will dance to the tune of the national government for favors.

He was referring to Governor Salim Mvurya of Kwale who decamped to Jubilee and vowed to defend his seat on a Jubilee Party ticket.

Kilifi Women Representative, Aisha Jumwa, said that ODM was still the party to beat in the County and across the region and warned party rebels that they will be defeated in 2017.

Dabaso Member of the County Assembly, Hamza Hussein, said that the Jubilee government had not implemented any of its manifestos and was only changing names to win the heart of Kenyans.

The Dabaso meeting came exactly three days after the Jubilee team campaigned in the area.
