Ohangla star Lady Maureen dies in Migori
Popular Ohangla musician, Maureen Ochieng popularly known as Lady Maureen is dead.
Reports say the singer passed on at around 3am on Saturday morning at her home in Uriri, Migori county.
The musician who has been battling long illness had been discharged from hospital and was recovering at home.
The news of her demise was shared by her sister Bella Achieng who said the musician had been treated at the Pastor Machage Memorial Hospital in Migori
Lady Maureen is behind chart-topping hits such as Jogi Jokuoge, Alemo, Gor Kogallo, Raila among others.
She has been mourned by among others, ODM leader Raila Odinga who described Maureen as an immensely talented star who held her fort in a dynamic music industry.
