Ojaamong: I will still beat Otuoma in the repeat contest

Embattled Busia Governor, Sospeter Ojaamong, continues to defend his win in Friday, April 14 ODM primaries in Busia County that were nullified over reports of massive electoral irregularities.

Ojaamong insists the over 92,000 votes he got, majority from his backyard of Teso South and Teso North constituencies to beat Paul Otuoma, who got 63,000, were legitimate.

The governor was controversially declared winner in the ODM primaries after garnering 44,369 from Teso South and 33,349 from Teso North, but Otuoma accused him of rigging resulting in nullification of the results by ODM National Elections Board.

Speaking at Bukalamain Matayos Constituency, Ojaamong says he is ready to face Otuoma in a repeat of the Busia ODM gubernatorial nominations slated for the 25th of this month.
