One arrested as police recover elephant tusks worth Ksh.10M

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Saturday recovered 100kgs of elephant tusks valued at about Ksh.10 million in Nyandarua.

42-year-old David Ndegwa was arrested during the raid and is presently in police custody awaiting arraignment while a hunt has been launched for another suspect who managed to escape.

The operation was conducted by DCI detectives posing as customers following a tip-off from members of the public.
