One arrested over Lamu Senator's brutal attack at a Nairobi nightclub

Police say they are holding a bouncer in connection with the brutal attack of Lamu Senator Anwar Oloitiptip at a popular nightclub near USIU (United States International University-Africa) in Kasarani area.

The senator is said to have been attacked and seriously injured by a group of men in a late night brawl that occurred as he was watching  the UEFA Champions League final.

Citizen Digital understands that the senator was beaten up following a disagreement involving a lady who had allegedly been attacked by one of the unknown men.

The Senator allegedly intervened before the men turned on him.

He is admitted at the Aga Khan hospital in Nairobi after sustaining severe head injuries.

Meanwhile, a hunt is underway for the other suspects who remain at large.
