One dead in Mombasa varsity bus accident

A co-driver at Mombasa Technical University died and several students injured after the bus they were travelling in was involved in an accident on Friday night at Maungu shopping center in Voi

The accident happened after the university bus hit a stalled lorry from behind on the busy Mombasa-Nairobi highway.

The injured students were rushed to the Moi County referral hospital in Voi for treatment.

The body of the co-driver was taken to Moi Referral Hospital mortuary.

The students were heading to Nairobi for a sports event.
