One dead,15 injured in Mombasa accident

One person has died and 15 others have been seriously injured following a grisly road accident at Shanzu area along the Malindi-Mombasa Highway on Sunday morning

According to eye witnesses, the accident occurred after a 14-seater matatu collided head-on with a personal vehicle as it tried to overtake.

Reports indicate that the driver of the personal car died in the crash.

The injured are currently receiving treatment at Coast General Hospital.
