One killed 10 injured as residents storm Naivasha distillery

One person has been killed and 10 others have sustained injuries during a raid in on a distillery in Naivasha.

Led by area MP John Kihagi the locals stormed the premises to destroy illicit brew which they claimed the distillery was producing. In the commotion, shots were fired killing one person and injuring ten.

This comes in the wake of numerous reports of raids on bars and distilleries over illicit brew. Earlier on Friday Othaya residents set ablaze alcohol worth Ksh3.5 million.
