One more day for political parties to sign electoral Code of Conduct

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has given political parties one more day to sign the Electoral Code of Conduct after officials of political parties appealed for more time to consult on the regulations.

Speaking during a meeting with officials of political parties here in Nairobi, IEBC Chairman, Wafula Chebukati, said all political parties must sign the Electoral Code of Conduct as prescribed by IEBC to stop cases of electoral violence and malpractices.

Meanwhile, IEBC will gazette the list of all aspirants for the August 8 polls on Wednesday, April 12.

The electoral body will gazette the list ahead of political parties nominations that are scheduled to kick off Thursday, April 13 until the 26th.
