Onyango Oloo is a bitter, dishonest man Sakaja

Former TNA chairman and Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant, Johnson Sakaja, has accused Onyango Oloo, who served as the party’s Secretary General, of spreading false information about the party and the victory of President Uhuru Kenyatta in the 2013 General Election.

Addressing the press on Sunday, January 22 in Nairobi, Sakaja said that Oloo was a bitter man who has lost credibility and trust.

The two served in the now dissolved The National Alliance (TNA) party, a political vehicle that sponsored President Kenyatta during the 2013 polls.

TNA, together with over 10 other parties, merged last year to form one party – the Jubilee Party that President Kenyatta and his deputy, William Ruto, will use to seek re-election on August 8 this year.
Sakaja described his former colleague as a man who has lost relevance and is trying to reclaim it through unorthodox means.

“I am disappointed that one George Onyango Oloo has decided to take this country for a ride. He has lost credibility, he has lost relevance and good sense because as an individual, he has not found a place,” said Sakaja.

Mr Oloo had alleged that President Kenyatta and his deputy did not win the 2013 elections and that they were rigged to victory, his comments causing a political storm from across the political divide.

Sakaja, however, disputed Oloo’s claims noting that President Kenyatta’s 2013 election victory cannot be questioned.

“I must make some things categorical and very clear. President Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto won the 2013 elections and there is no doubt about that, that is a matter that was put to rest and anyone trying to insinuate otherwise is trying to push a very myopic, personal agenda to find relevance in the opposition,” noted Sakaja.

“This is matter that was settled even in the Supreme Court and it is a matter Kenyans have come to accept that the President won the election overwhelmingly and the person who followed him was trailing by more than 800,000 votes.”

Mr Sakaja said the former party Secretary General was spreading malice to an extent of claiming the party still withhold crucial information, which he has access to, on the 2013 election.

“We must all be disappointed by the level of malice coming from one Onyango Oloo and I must make it very clear that the secrets he says he have, he has none.”

“We have no secrets about the 2013 elections,” he added saying that Mr Oloo only dealt with the party’s administration and should there be secrets, he would not be privy to them as he was not in any strategy committee.

The nominated Member of Parliament says that the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), the party which Mr Oloo decamped to, will realize that he has nothing to offer and that he is a dishonest man.

“ODM will soon realize that Onyango Oloo has come with nothing and no with secrets and that he cannot be trusted as what he has done to TNA is what he is going to do to ODM,” added Sakaja.

Sakaja also accused Mr Oloo of trying to create a division between members of the now dissolved TNA and the United Republican Party (URP) by alleging that the latter disorganized the Jubilee coalition and took over most of the critical roles, leaving those from the TNA out in the cold.

“He has also made very unsavory comments about URP. URP was there as our coalition partner and we could not have won the election without His Excellency William Ruto and without URP and we are very happy to move forward with them.”

He further noted that Mr Oloo did not join the opposition with any infrastructure and strategies from the governing party.

“No one should buy the lies that Oloo has moved with the infrastructure of TNA, we are all aware of the merge and the whole process and how the infrastructures of the coalition partners were brought together.”

Sakaja threaten legal action against Oloo should he continue spreading the alleged malicious information especially on President Kenyatta’s 2013 victory
