Orengo: Lack of ODM quorum in 12th Parliament may get Raila impeached
Siaya Senator, James Orengo, says he will ensure the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) secures all seats in the county during the August 8 General Election.
Speaking at a political rally in Rarieda Constituency, the Senator expressed concerns that Jubilee may get more seats than ODM in the August House if more is not done to ensure the opposition clinches victory.
In his speech, he asserted that in an event where ODM will fail to acquire sufficient seats in both Houses of Parliament, it will subject Raila Odinga’s presidency to impeachment.
He, therefore, pleaded with electorates in the Nyanza region to vote in ODM candidates in the forthcoming General Election.
The Senator gave an undertaking to tour the entire country to campaign for ODM party candidates within the remaining 24 days.
Further, he drummed up support for the re-election of ODM’s candidate Siaya Governor Cornel Rasanga, crediting him for his loyalty to the party.
