Oscar Pistorius sentencing postponed until June 13

The sentencing of Oscar Pistorius for the murder of Reeva Steenkamp will now take place from the 13th June.

The former Paralympian’s culpable homicide conviction was overturned by South Africa’s Supreme Court last year, with judges instead finding him guilty of murder.

The trial was originally scheduled to start on April 18, but has been delayed.

Pistorius will remain under house arrest in the interim period, he faces a minimum 15 year jail sentence and cannot appeal.
