Otuoma To Vie For ODM Chairperson Position

Otuoma who is eyeing the chairmanship position of the party exuded confidence that the election would be free and fair

He was speaking this morning at the party headquarters after handing over his nomination papers

Candidates vying for the vice-chairperson position include Aden Keynan, Manson Nyamweya, Milly Odhiambo, Dalmas Otieno, Otieno Kajwang’, Janet Ong’era, Evans Kidero and Josephat Nanok.

Those in the race for Secretary General' s slot currently held by Kisumu Senator Anyang’ Nyong’o are Agnes Zani, Elizabeth Ongoro, James Orengo, Nicholas Gumbo, John Mbadi and Ken Obura.

The ODM party elections are scheduled to take place on 28th February this year.

More than 4,600 delegates will be present to elect their new leaders for the party.

ODM says it will use the elections to inject fresh blood in the management of the party and help consolidate its support countrywide.

Twenty seven positions are now vacant following the expiry of terms of former officials last year.

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has said he is likely to retain his position as party leader in the upcoming elections.
