Over 100,000 Kenyans apply for courts’ jobs

Over 100,000 Kenyans have applied for the 1,126 vacant positions that the Judiciary advertised in may this year.

Judiciary Chief Registrar Anne Amadi credited the overwhelming response to the ongoing court transformation being undertaken by Judicial Service Commission (JSC).

Amadi has assured the public that JSC will conduct a credible, fair, competitive and open shortlisting process for all the available slots before the interviews are conducted.

Ms Amadi, who is also the JSC secretary, invited the Directorate of Criminal Investigations and the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC) to monitor the shortlisting process to curb any underhand dealings during the process.

Under the massive recruitment exercise JSC is looking to hire 20 Kadhis, 35 Information Communication Technology Officers, 30 Personal Secretaries, 54 Personal Secretaries, 122 Secretarial Assistants, 30 Archivists, 43 Archives Assistants, 716 Clerical Officers, 41 Court Interpreters, 8 Court Bailiffs and 17 Process Server officers.
