Over 30 people arrested in Kiambu for drinking at unlicensed bar
Kiambaa Sub County Deputy County Commissioner Geoffrey Taragon confirmed the incident saying the premise, Paradiso Bar, is suspected to be selling sub-standard liquor that is not fit for human consumption.
He says the owner failed to comply with the County government inspection exercise.
Salome Wambui, one of the residents of Gachie town in Kiambu County, said many parents are in pain for losing their sons due to Illicit brew.
She welcomed the measures taken by the local administration in the fight against illicit brews in their area where county officials urged young people to follow the stipulated law.
Community Policing Chairman Douglas Kang'ethe said the fight against alcohol has bored fruits since many revellers comply with opening hours.
He however noted that Paradiso Bar has been notorious for violating the opening hours set by the government.
