Over 300 families displaced by floods in Ahero

Floods displaced over 300 families at Ombaka village in Ahero after a heavy downpour.

This comes as President Uhuru Kenyatta plans to visit the area on Thursday.

Several families were forced to abandon their homes in the middle of the night due to floods.

The flash floods occurred on Tuesday night as residents were forced to camp at a local school.

Resident Michael Okeyo warned that the situation could become dire as the area is prone to floods during the rainy season.

They are now urging the government to help them get food and other essential commodities.
