Over 4,000 residents of Mombasa County have benefited from food donations by Governor Ali Hassan Joho for use during the Holy Month of Ramadhan.
Accompanied by Kisauni Member of Parliament Rashid Bedzimba, Joho distributed rice, cooking oil, beans and maize flour to the residents as a way of assisting them during the period.
“We are donating the foodstuffs to people for use when they break the fast and wish them a happy Ramadhan,” said Bedzimba.
The Muslim community is currently celebrating the 30-day holy month marked by dawn to dusk fasting.
