Pastor Arrested For Defiling Granddaughter

William Omondi, a pastor at New Apostolic church, is being held at Siaya police station.

He was arrested following complaints from members of the public.

According to the area village elder Mr. Paul Otemo who led the arrest, the pastor has been persistently defiling his granddaughter.

The suspect is said to have threatened his granddaughter telling her there would be dire consequences if she dared report the issue to anybody.

Mr. Otemo said the minor who is a class four pupil, decided to reveal the ordeal after she got fed up with the heinous acts of the pastor.

The minor is said to have been defiled at least eight times.

The pastor will be arraigned in court to face defilement charges once an investigation on the issue is completed.
