Pastor Nganga blames Boinnet for his woes

Controversial Neno Evangelist preacher and televangelist James Maina Ng’anga has accused the Inspector General of police, Joseph Boinnet, of carrying out shoddy investigations into his case where he is charged with causing death through dangerous driving.

Preaching at his church for the first time after being released on a Sh1 million bail, Nga’ng’a said that Boinnet did not follow due diligence in his case and only vilified him in public over reports from the media.

Nga’nga said that Boinnet was pressured by the media to push the case further after he gave conflicting reports and only pursued the matter unjustly to take away the heat from the police.

He noted that he was already condemned before being heard and singled out in a well-orchestrated plan to bring his ministry down, despite the good works he has done.

On the robbers who stormed and ransacked his house, Ng’ang’a said that he has prayed hard for them that they may get salvation hoping that they will not steal elsewhere as they were also children of God.

He, however, said that the IG called him and told him that one of the robbers had been gunned down in Rongai.

Ng’anga also threw a jab at the media for castigating him and mudslinging his ministry.

He noted that there was a church that had been marred by chaos, including the killing of their bishop, in Vihiga yet their story was not splashed on the front pages of newspapers and given ‘free air time’ on television stations.

The televangelist was released by Limuru Court Senior Principal Magistrate Timothy Tanchu on a Sh500,000 cash bail or a Sh1 million bond with a surety of a similar amount.
