Kirinyaga: Pastor pleads guilty to defiling, impregnating his two daughters aged 14 and 16

A pastor in Ndia Constituency, Kirinyaga County has pleaded guilty to defiling and impregnating his two teenage daughters aged 14 and 16 years.

The accused aged 51 admitted the offence on Tuesday before Senior Principal Magistrate Antony Mwicigi at the Baricho Law Courts and was remanded until Thursday, January 7 to allow the prosecution get the girls’ birth certificates to verify their age.

According to the charge sheet, the suspect is believed to have committed the first offence on diverse dates between 1st to 30th of June, 2019 and the second offence was committed between 1st to 31st of August, 2020 in Kianyakiru village in Ndia Constituency.

In her application, lead prosecutor Patricia Gikunju pleaded with the court to give her team up to January 7 to gather the minors’ birth certificates and other documents that ascertain their age .

The suspect from an Akurino church will be remanded at the Sagana Police Station.

Gichina was arrested on Sunday in Mbeere South from his hide out after police early last month launched an operation to arrest him.

The first girl is pregnant with a 7-month old baby and the other a 5-month old baby.
