People Stranded As River Kawalase Bursts Banks

The water caused floods following heavy rains that are currently being experienced in Northern Uganda.

More than 200 travelers, mostly traders, have been stranded for more than 15 hours.

The travelers were forced to sleep on the river banks.

Locals have asked the government to come to their aid and construct a bridge over river Kawalase as floods disrupt transport every year whenever the river floods.
