Peter Kenneth’s mother dies in Nairobi

Former Presidential candidate Peter Kenneth’s mother has passed on.

According to the family, Ms. Rahab Wambui died at the Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi on Thursday morning.

Ms. Wambui succumbed to a long illness.

President Uhuru Kenyatta expressed his condolences saying: “It is with profound sadness that I have this morning received news of the death of Mama Rahab Wambui Muhuni.”

“Condolences to my friend Hon. Peter Kenneth and the entire family. I pray for God’s comfort and providence in this difficult period of mourning,” said Kenyatta in a statement.

On his part opposition chief Raila Odinga said: “My condolences go out to Peter Kenneth following the passing on of his Mother, Rahab Wambui Muhuni. May God grant him and the family strength and fortitude at this trying moment and may her soul rest in eternal peace. Poleni kwa msiba.”
