There are, fortunately, no reports of any deaths following a Monday night inferno on a business complex on Nairobi’s Ngong Road.
But unfortunately, the fire caused untold damage and losses of millions of shillings are being reported.
Alhusnain motors limited are reported to have lost vehicles worth Ksh. 600 million.
The stark reminder of just how much was lost in the fire is the charred remains of high end cars that were housed in the complex.
A spot check by Citizen Digital revealed high-end vehicles that go for millions went up in flames. Some of the cars include; the latest models of Lexus, Toyota Prado and Mercedes Benz.
According to eye witnesses, the 9-storey building which houses motor vehicle bazaars, offices, restaurants among other commercial premises, went up in flames at 8pm after pockets of explosion were heard emanating from the business center.
Malik Heights, which was officially opened for business in 2017, neighbours residential buildings and other vehicle bazaars.
The cause of the fire, which allegedly began on the ground floor, is still unknown.
