PHOTOS: Police Release List of Hardcore Criminals who Escaped from Kamiti

According to Kasarani OCPD Francis Sang, the convicts escaped by climbing over a wall at 2am with the aid of mosquito nets, blankets and ropes after cutting through window grills.

Sang mentioned that the police are investigating how the hardcore inmates eloped during a power blackout while it rained, with the woman being shot by prison warders at Kwest area after she allegedly defied orders to stop.

Joseph Kinyanjui Gitau and Isaac Karanja Mwangi were serving jail terms for robbery with violence while John Kamau Gathoni was imprisoned for indecent assault.

The Police have since released the photos of the three criminals.
