PNU leaders denounce Munya for decamping to NASA

A section of Party of National Unity (PNU) leaders in Embu have denounced the move by former Meru Governor Peter Munya to join opposition coalition NASA as the country heads to a fresh presidential vote mid next month.

Led by the defeated Embu PNU gubernatorial candidate Kithinji Kiragu, the leaders indicated that at no point has the party held its National Delegates Conference to endorse the move to support the National Super Alliance.

Kiragu said PNU followers in Embu are rallying behind President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election in the fresh presidential poll ordered by the Supreme Court after invalidating his victory on September 1.

The leaders further emphasized that PNU followers will not blindly support NASA because Munya has decided to ditch Jubilee but will rather stick to their original decision.

Kiragu urged Embu residents and Kenyans to vote for a second term for President Kenyatta to allow him execute Jubilee’s development agenda.

He further called for peace and harmony among the Kenyans as they prepare for the fresh presidential elections.
