Police ‘Imposter’ Waiganjo In Hospital

Waiganjo was at the Naivasha G.K. Prison where he is serving a jail term of two years.

Waiganjo was escorted by armed guards to the hospital after he developed medical complications.

Patrick Mwenda, the officer in charge of Naivasha G.K. Prison told Citizen TV said that Waiganjo was suffering from diabetes but a source refuted the claims saying he suffered from hypertension, uncontrolled diabetes and gout.

The superintendent in charge of the hospital Dr Joseph Mburu said that Waiganjo was currently in stable condition.

Speaking on phone, Mburu said that Waiganjo was brought in during the weekend and that he is still weak but conscious.

“After examination it was decided that the patient be admitted, he is currently undergoing treatment in the ward,” Mburu said.

A letter from the prison medical officer confirmed that Waiganjo is suffering from diabetes, hypertension and gout.

Waiganjo is serving a two year jail term after he was found guilty of impersonating a senior police officer in Naivasha and Nyeri.

Waiganjo was also found guilty of being in possession of a police uniform in his house in Kabati, Naivasha.

Waiganjo’s incident came into limelight after he accompanied senior policemen to Baragoi, Samburu County in the year 2013.
