Police in Taveta and Eldoret towns are holding 149 pupils and students who were arrested during a swoop on night clubs during the weekend.

The officers say the students were apprehended for being drunk and disorderly during the raids.

In Taita, the 89, from various schools in the area, are set to be arraigned in court on Monday. The club owners will also face charges.

In Eldoret, 60 pupils and students were arrested at Club Spree while consuming alcohol.

They were believed to have been headed back to school when they decided to pass by the said club.

The club manager, alongside the learners, were nabbed during a police crackdown.

They are currently awaiting arraignment.
