Police Arrest 3 Terror Suspects In Garissa

The suspects were also found with bhang worth Ksh 1M

The three suspects were identified as Said Salim Abubakar, Mohamed Hussein Ahmed and Awes Ali Dubow

One of the suspects, Awes Ali Dubow is a foreigner while the other two are Kenyans.

Police say they arrested the suspects in a house in Bula Punda located about 4 kilometres from Garissa town

 


According to police, the trio was in possession of 54 stones of bhang wrapped in a polythene bag.

While dressing a news conference outside his office, Garissa Deputy County Commissioner Dominic Kyenza noted that the three have been working with other criminals in the region to cause havoc.

He further added that police are carrying out investigations to find out how the alien found his way to Garissa town.

“I believe that Awen Ali Dubow is the key supplier of the handmade grenades that have been used to cause harm.” He said.

The three are so far under police custody waiting interrogation before they can be arraigned in court.
