Police arrest expert eyewitness in Naivasha
Police have arrested the man who has come to be known as an “expert eyewitness” for having been in two high profile accidents; a car accident that claimed the life of Nyeri Governor Wahome Gakuru in Thika and the Lake Nakuru chopper crash that killed 5.
Confirming the arrest, Directorate of Criminal Investigations boss Francis Ndegwa Muhoro said the man identified as Dennis Ngengi was nabbed the man in Naivasha before he was moved to Nairobi for questioning. His car has also been confiscated.
Ngengi, who has since been transferred to Juja Police Station, has given two conflicting stories on what he does for a living; stating he was a State pilot while in Nakuru and telling Citizen journalists he was a businessman shortly after the Thika accident.
He also denied having been in Nakuru saying that was another person who shares his name, eerily resembles him, has same bluetooth sunglasses and walks with crutches.
No word on what he was exactly arrested for but he has dominated the media this week with people wondering who exactly he is and how he ended up in those scenes.
However, reports now emerging indicate that Dennis was in Utawala during the time of Dr. Wahome’s crash, and only rushed to the scene to speak to the media after receiving the information.
