Police cars detained day after Owuor convoy drew mixed reactions

Two police cars were detained in Nakuru a day after the Inspector General Joseph Boinnet issued a stern warning against misuse of public resources.

His statement came after a massive convoy of police chase cars were spotted in a convoy alleged to be that of Prophet David Owuor.

The law allows Kenyans to hire police services but according to IG Boinett, it should not be to the level depicted in a video that was doing rounds on social media.

Boinett has since vowed to take action against any officers found misusing their vehicles.

Owuor held a two day prayer meeting in the outskirts of Nakuru town.

The video of the police convoy that emerged earlier this week continued to elicit mixed reactions.
