Police Gun Down 5 Suspects In Nairobi

Police recovered two rifles, 37 bullets and two cars.

However three of the suspects escaped using a different car.

The suspects were in two vehicles when police from the special crime prevention unit who had been tipped off started chasing them.

This incidence comes at a time when Nairobi has been experiencing a state of robberies in the past weeks.

Police attribute the increase in the robberies to illegal guns in the wrong hands.

Nairobi county police boss Benson Kibue, has confirmed the incidence.

The police have launched investigation to establish the source of the weapons.
