Man arrested with 300litres of adulterated fuel in Eldoret

Police in Eldoret have arrested one suspect and impounded over 300 litres of adulterated fuel.

In an operation led by Uasin Gishu Administration Police Commandant Daniel Rukunga the suspect is believed to have been dealing with adulteration of fuel in the area.

Rukunga said a joint operation conducted by the police and Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) officials has forced suspects to hide their businesses in residential areas.

He however said that the government would continue with the operation and arrest those involved.

“I am sending a warning to them that we are on their case and will not stop at anything until we find them,” Rukunga said.
