Police launch hunt for two suspects after 6 rifles, 169 rounds of ammunition recovered
Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have recovered six rifles with six magazines and 169 rounds of ammunition in Baringo County.
The detectives, alongside officers from Nginyang Police Station, were on patrol on the Chemoligot – Marigat Road where they encountered a suspicious motorcycle.
Upon being challenged to stop, two occupants abandoned the motorcycle and fled on foot, also leaving behind a sack.
The officers searched the sack and recovered three G3 rifles, three AK47 rifles, six magazines and 169 rounds of ammunition.
A hunt for the escaped suspects has since been launched.
