Couple shot dead by suspected thugs in Murang’a

Police have launched a manhunt for a three-man gang that is suspected to be behind the murder of a married couple in Murang’a County on Monday night.

Peter Muchina and Margaret Nyambura were at their shop in Ngilelia area, Ithanga when the thugs who were armed with a pistol shot them dead, Murang‘a police boss Naomi Ichami said.

The woman died at Ithanga Mission hospital while her husband succumbed to gunshot wounds at the Thika Level Five Hospital.

They have left behind three children.
