Police Launch Manhunt For Mombasa Urban CID Boss Attackers

The DCIO is said to have been shot in the stomach during an exchange of fire as they were pursuing the robbers.

Ndumba and other officers are reported to have approached a car carrying four suspected robbers near Bismilahi shop before the battle ensued.

While confirming the incident,Mombasa Deputy County Commander Sevelino Kubai said the thugs fled the scene immediately after the incident.

Ndumba is currently admitted in a private Mombasa hospital and is said to be in stable condition.

The incident comes even as the president is today, Wednesday expected to attend a meeting convened by regional security chiefs in Mombasa.
