Police nab bhang worth Ksh2M in Mombasa

Police in Mombasa have netted five sacks of bhang of Ksh2M estimated value.

The police, acting on a tip-off from members of the public, raided a house in Tudor area where they nabbed the consignment and arrested one suspect.

“The consignment is a big thing. There were five bags containing rolls of bhang and another one that is open, which also have some rolls. You’ve seen that we even netted rizla,” confirmed Mombasa Urban Area OCPD Lucas Ogaro.

The OCPD commended members of the public for sharing crucial information and urged them to continue complementing police services.

“What now I need to ask the public is free flow of information and tips and we shall use them with a lot of confidentiality and nobody will be victimized,” said Ogaro.

Ogaro reiterated that the police are devoted to exterminating narcotics from the coast strip as directed by the president and his deputy.

Police at the coastal town of Mombasa have escalated the war against drugs that has seen a number of narcotics consignments nabbed and Akasha brothers, famous known for leading drug business at the coast, extradited to the United States of America to answer to drug charges.
