Police nab suspect with 5 marijuana sacks worth Ksh.4M in Mombasa

Police in Mombasa County have arrested a man who was found with five sacks of marijuana estimated to have street value worth Ksh. 4million.

The marijuana sacks were discovered at Jomvu area in Miritini, being ferried in a trailer on Monday morning.

Jomvu OCPD James Mutua said the trailer was headed to Mombasa from Uganda.

Police patrolling the area at around 4:30am found the truck driver and his colleague offloading the sacks which were tied under the trailer.

The driver fled but his colleague was arrested and is being detained at Mikindani Police Station.

He will be arraigned in court on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the OCPD has warned drug traffickers that their days are numbered.
