Police officer, civilian nabbed in Donholm over robbery

Police in Buruburu are holding a police officer and a civilian over allegations of attempted robbery at Donholm area in Nairobi County.

A fake pistol and pair of handcuffs were recovered from suspects Eric Opilo who is attached to the Vigilance Operations Directorate and Simon Muhoro who is a casual worker at Donholm Bottlers.

The arrest came after Police on patrol received information that there was a two man gang terrorizing members of the public along the Donholm road.

Responding swiftly, police accosted the suspects and ordered them to surrender which they obeyed.

The duo will be arraigned in court on Tuesday and charged with robbery.
