Police officer on the run after allegedly killing his girlfriend in Kasarani

An officer attached to Kasarani Police Station is on the run after allegedly pushing his girlfriend off a balcony of their fourth floor apartment in Ngumba area of Kasarani, Nairobi County.

The officer who is yet to be identified is said to have had an argument with his girlfriend Friday night before she fell off the balcony.

According to neighbours who responded, the officer threatened them with a gun before taking off, soon after they rushed to see what had caused the loud bang.

The woman had fallen on a car parked beside the apartment.

Kasarani sub-county Commander Peter Mwanzo said police officers are searching for the suspect.

“Huyo msichana alitoka juu kwa ghorofa mpaka chini, pengine ilikuwa kusudi ama pengine msichana mwenyewe ndio aliruka…hatujajua mpaka saa hizi,” said Mwanzo.
