Police officers linked to Alexander Monson death have case to answer

A court has ruled that four police officers linked to the death of British aristocrat Alexander Monson in Diani, have a case to answer.

Monson, 28, died six years ago after he sustained injuries on his head inside a police cell.

On Thursday, Justice Julius Nangea ordered that the case be forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecution Noordin Haji for further action.

The ruling came after doctors who performed the autopsy presented evidence that contradicted previous claims that Monson died from a drug overdose.

An interview with Monson’s mother Hilary three years ago, revealed that she found him “unconscious and handcuffed to a hospital bed” just hours after his arrest.

“He had wounds to his scrotum, he had head injuries, and he died violently in the hands of monsters,” she told the Daily Telegraph.

“When I arrived … at the hospital, I found three police officers at the door. I went into the room and [Alexander] was chained to the bed. I sat with my son for probably an hour at the most, and then he was dead.”
