

The burglars are suspected to have made their way into Family Bank on Saturday or Sunday.
They reportedly gained access into the bank through the kitchen roof.
Police in Ruiru are investigating theft at Family Bank, Ruiru branch that saw the thieves make away with Ksh.24million.
According to Ruiru OCPD James Ng’etich, the bank security manager is the one who raised the alarm.

“After opening the bank, John Muchiri discovered that the alarm system had been tampered with.
“On further checking, he discovered that the fire alarm system had been vandalized,” Ng’etich said.

“They managed to access the strong room to the safe by cutting the door using welding gas cylinder power and further accessed the ATM machine using claw bars,” the police boss added.
Police officers visited the crime scene at Family Bank, Ruiru on Monday where they recovered a gas cylinder and four claw bars.
